EVANSTON, IL – Expressing that this was pretty much a last ditch effort to get into one of the cool student groups on campus, McCormick sophomore Greg Tomlin sat anxiously at his computer meticulously editing his application to A&O Productions a full 6 days before the deadline.  Tomlin, who recently failed to be accepted by both Ski Team and Mayfest, is reportedly still trying to find the right balance between fun/joke-y and heartfelt for the tone of his application. a&o

A member of Engineering World Health and ISBE’s Technology Team, Tomlin has repeatedly emphasized that he would “definitely take a mulligan on freshman year at Northwestern if that was possible.”

“I feel like I didn’t really try hard enough to get involved freshman year,” said Tomlin, when reached for comment. “I guess I’m still kind of trying to find my people at Northwestern.”

The second-year mechanical engineering major, who has on several occasions unsuccessfully attempted to coordinate a reunion for his freshman year hall, was found attempting to predict the kind of questions about production experience and event planning he might be asked in his interview.

Recent reports have also confirmed that Tomlin is considering attending fraternity rush for a second time this coming winter, though if so he would be sure to actually try to get a bid this time.
